This course is designed to teach operational functions of CA-1™. The course topics include a technical overview of CA-1™ , Using the online screens, JCL parameters, retention and vault movement of tapes, running the daily maintenance routines, supplied utilities and reporting options on the database. Advanced concepts and the CA-1™ installation options will also be covered.
AUDIENCE CA-1™ administrator(s), production control, application programmers, and anyone who desires operational knowledge of the tape system, usage, monitoring current and past production workloads, and commands to display and control the system. Start-Up and Shutdown procedures will also be covered for the operations area.
