Through a series of lectures and classroom workshops, the attendees develop an understanding of the contents of and approaches to resolving memory dumps.
AUDIENCE Application programmers or system programmer trainees familiar with the concepts of an operation system environment and who are proficient in a high level language.

  • Determine the environment at the time of an ABEND through analysis of Control Blocks and register saving conventions.
  • Describe the relationship between I/O Control Blocks.
  • Describe the contents and layout of Linkage Editor listings.
