This course contains workshops which require the customer to provide computer facilities to assemble, run and test the students work based on their understanding of:
  • MACRO language
  • Subroutines (Macros and coding)
  • Re-entrant programming
  • QSAM, BPAM, and BDAM programming
AUDIENCE This course is intended for application assembler programmers and entry-level system programmers that have completed Assembler Programming - Basic or its equivalent.
GOALS
  • Code and use Assembler language macros
  • Write subroutines using Assembler instructions and IBM - supplied macros as LOAD and LINK
  • Code re-entrant programs
  • Use the data management MACROs to access QSAM, BPAM, and BDAM datasets
