Visual Basic Interface Workshop

Through lecture and hands-on labs, students will develop more involved applications using Visual Basic on a PC. This class builds on Visual Basic Introduction Workshop and Visual Basic Database Workshop courses.
AUDIENCE Customers and Mainframe programmers needing to develop applications on a PC, Project Leaders requiring a working knowledge of Visual Basic and Database Administration staff requiring an understanding of what programmers will be using for application development. Students should have a working knowledge of the PC environment and Basic programming language, a conceptual knowledge of Graphical User Interface (GUI) and Windows, and completed a Visual Basic Introduction Workshop and Visual Basic Database Workshop with less than 2 - 3 months hands on exposure to Visual Basic.

  • How to optimize an application
  • Create a Multiple Document Interface application
  • Form to Form (or other object interfacing)
  • Create a Dynamic Data Exchange application
  • Object Linking and Embedding in an application
  • Time permitting - look at toolbar use in an application
